CafeMedia is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to help continue to develop our Ad Code product. You will build high-performance JavaScript libraries that run in the browser. You will leverage your ability to interpret business requirements and deliver solutions that help our clients effectively monetize their traffic. You will actively participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and performance considerations throughout the feature development lifecycle. You will create reusable systems, frameworks, or libraries that can be used across multiple teams. You will lead projects, coordinate activities happening on your team, as well as collaborating with those outside your team.

You consider yourself a technical thought leader, someone who identifies and advocates for best practices, and knows when to apply third party tools and technologies appropriately.  You keep abreast of technology trends and introduce new technologies, patterns, and practices to the technical organization. You know how to identify talent gaps within the team and can suggest learning paths for individuals.

The skills and experience you bring to the job:

  • Extensive experience building JavaScript frameworks and utilizing the latest ECMAScript standards for web application
  • Deep understanding of testing paradigms, approaches, and frameworks
  • Experience designing extensible, testable, and modular systems that span multiple teams
  • Track record of communicating and contributing ideas, impact analysis, risk assessments, feature prioritization while weighing potential business impact
  • Experience with ad serving technology, including DFP/GAM, header bidding, and/or Prebid.js a plus

The base salary range for this position is $150,000-$250,000. The range provided is CafeMedia’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities.
