Do you want to develop a vision and strategy for software quality assurance and work collaboratively with engineering partners across the organization to execute on it? Are you passionate about all levels of testing?

CafeMedia is hiring a Vice President of Quality Engineering to coalesce our software quality engineering strategy into a coherent vision. You will communicate that vision to your organization and to your stakeholders. You will lead a team of existing quality assurance engineers and expand that team in a sustainable manner. You will work with the team to build a team identity that fits into the larger engineering identity. You will mentor and coach individuals, helping them develop personally and professionally.

You are someone who can simultaneously define a long-term vision and execute on that vision.  You rely on your influence to champion quality and effect change throughout the organization.  You are a thought leader in software quality, passionate about various testing methodologies and best practices.

The skills and experience you bring to the job:

  • Broad and deep experience of testing terminology, concepts, methodologies, and tools.
  • Coherent understanding of modern software development practices and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple teams indirectly and developing teams, individual contributors, and leaders.
  • Effective communication and visionary leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience as a change agent.
