Performance Analyst

CafeMedia is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Performance Analyst to help drive strong revenue and yield for our publishers.

Using the same industry-leading solution as our AdThrive platform, CafeMedia Ad Management (CAM) simplifies the advertising ecosystem for premium publishers, enabling them to maximize their ad revenue while freeing them up to do what they do best: create great content. The Performance Analyst will monitor, optimize, and analyze our publisher integrations to drive optimal performance across our book of business. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a publisher-first mentality who can transform performance data into actionable insight and results. S/he will take an investigative approach to proactively optimize client earnings and collaborate closely with a number of internal, cross-functional teams, including Marketing/Acquisition, Publisher Support and Strategy, reporting to the VP of Publisher Solutions.

Role + Responsibilities:

  • Develop presale revenue forecasts and layout recommendations for potential clients
  • Analyze ad layouts and earnings, detecting performance trends and opportunity for optimizations
  • Anticipate problems on behalf of our clients, proactively escalate and resolve issues
  • Assist the Account team to answer client questions and craft unique solutions to best serve their goals
  • Flag opportunities to add new ad types or demand sources into client’s ad set-up
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and fix layout and ad problems on client websites
  • Monitor alerts reporting to gauge the health of client performance
  • Onboard new clients by installing ads on their sites
  • Track, analyze, and update CafeMedia and client daily reports – both internally and for clients


  • 2+ years in analytical role; experience working in digital media a plus
  • General knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem and programmatic media buying/selling
  • Ability to transform performance data into actionable insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas, etc)
  • SQL knowledge and experience with data visualization platforms (ie, Looker, Domo, Tableau) a plus
  • Familiarity with WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent
