Programmatic Sales Director/Associate - Chicago

CafeMedia is seeking a determined, go-getting Programmatic Sales Director / Associate to join our cutting edge programmatic team! The Programmatic Sales Director / Associate will tackle everything in the private marketplace sales process: meeting with agency partners, evaluating daily trends, uncovering new opportunities, and much more. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about coming up with the best solutions for advertisers, digs into the details on every aspect of the account and has a never-ending curiosity. Overall Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive programmatic advertising revenues via private marketplace sales
  • Develop new business through prospecting and own network of contacts
  • Manage existing programmatic clients and scale up our partnerships
  • Analyze delivery trends across sources to proactively identify growth opportunities
  • Help shape our programmatic strategy and approach, including the development of new programmatic offerings and refining the PMP sales story
  • Work closely with internal programmatic and ad ops teams to set up, manage and optimize programs
  • Be a part of the team that manages our entire ad tech stack and delivery waterfall, ultimately helping us maximize revenue


  • 3+ years in digital advertising, with at least one year programmatic media sales experience preferred; flexible on experience level for the right person, unicorns welcome to apply
  • Deep understanding of digital ad sales marketplace
  • Significant knowledge of programmatic advertising, all the buy- and sell-side players, yield optimization and market trends
  • Proven closer of new business, a plus
  • Understanding of the agency, client landscape and ad-tech environments and comfort driving opportunity in all contexts
  • Ability to interpret programmatic data patterns (delivery, bid rates, win rates, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment
  • BA/BS degree required
