CafeMedia is hiring a Software Engineer to help continue to develop our Ad Code product. You will build high-performance JavaScript libraries that run in the browser. You will leverage your ability to interpret business requirements and deliver solutions that help our clients effectively monetize their traffic. You will actively participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and performance considerations throughout the feature development lifecycle.

You consider yourself an autonomous code contributor, and can deliver work with little or no guidance.  You are able to come up with and suggest technical improvements as well as tactical process improvements.  You seek to understand the business purpose behind the tasks at hand, through understanding customer personas and their workflows, as well as understanding company objectives.

The skills and experience you bring to the job:

  • Demonstrated experience building JavaScript frameworks and utilizing the latest ECMAScript standards for web applications
  • Understanding of how to apply best practices and design patterns appropriately
  • Have a high degree of ownership of the code and product you work on
  • Have a passion for unit testing and writing reusable/maintainable code
  • Track record of communicating and contributing ideas, risk assessments, feature prioritization while weighing potential business impact
  • Experience with ad serving technology, including DFP/GAM, header bidding, and/or Prebid.js a plus

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$180,000. The range provided is CafeMedia’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities.
