Research Analyst

CafeMedia is seeking a Research Analyst to join our RevOps Data Science team. Your mission is to leverage our vast data set to surface meaningful insights that drive decision-making across the business. Given the broad scope of this effort, the ideal candidate will be driven by understanding and improving work processes and developing solutions that potentially use a wide variety of technologies. 

As a Research Analyst you will be responsible for helping to derive meaningful insights from large amounts of data, building metrics, finding answers, and creating dependable, repeatable solutions. Precise title wording is open to change; it could be data scientist, statistician, staff analyst, researcher or some other trendy name if that is important to you. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and analyze experiments to improve revenue
  • Classify audience and content to support programmatic direct and indirect sales
  • Deliver evolutionary floor price guidance
  • Visualize complex systems
  • Build deep understanding of data generating processes

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the job

  • Graduate degree or equivalent in Statistics, Industrial Systems Engineering, or comparable field
  • Familiarity with real time advertising markets
  • Familiarity with processing large data sets (eg with Snowflake, Hive, Presto or BigQuery), scripting (eg Bash or Python), the AWS environment, & statistical software (eg NumPy, scikit-learn, R)

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$150,000. The range provided is CafeMedia’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities.
